A Special Election Runoff will be held on Tuesday, November 19, given that no candidate received more than 50% of the votes on November 5th. Two candidates will be on the ballot. As an organization, we cannot and will not endorse any candidates.  We advocate for your right to vote and will provide, through our website, a repository of information regarding this Special Election Runoff.

Absentee Voting

If you are unable to vote in person, you may be eligible to vote absentee.
To request an absentee ballot:

NOTE: Absentee ballots MUST be returned to Charleston County Board of Elections by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.  Absentee Ballots CANNOT  be accepted at your precinct on Election Day, November 19.

Because of the tight timeline of 6 business days (apply for the ballot, receive the ballot via USPS, complete it, send it back via USPS) we urge you to vote early if you cannot be at the polls on November 19.

Early Voting Options

Early voting will be held Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, November 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at ONLY one location:

If you are a registered voter on Isle of Palms, you can participate in the runoff regardless of whether you voted in the November 5, 2024 Special Election. But if you haven’t already registered to vote, it’s too late. That deadline was the same as for the General Election, and it expired on October 14, 2024.
